Dudhwa National Park which is popularly called as Garden Of Eden serves as the residence of more than 90 species of fish, 16 species of reptiles, 38 species of mammals and 400 species of birds. This is located along the border between Nepal and India in Uttar Pradesh district of Lakhimpur-Kheri. In fact, it is one of the 3 national parks of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. Kishanpur wildlife sanctuary and katarniaghat Wildlife sanctuary are the other two national parks. Dudhwa was established and recognized as a wildlife sanctuary in 1958 with the intention of conserving Swamp Deer. However, in 1977, this sanctuary was reformed into national park. Currently, this park is serving as the part of Project Tiger for conserving tigers. Later in 1987, this park was transformed into tiger reserve. You will get a lot of exciting, long lasting memories when you visit this thickest forest.

The most popular vegetation types in this national park is Tropical moist deciduous forest, tropical semi evergreen forest, dry deciduous forest, swamp forest and riparian. The prominent species of trees found abundantly in Dudhwa National Park are Adina Cordifolia, Terminalia tomentosa, Terminalia belerica, Shorea robusta, Eugenia jambolana, Bombax malabaricum and Dalbergia sissoo. However, the widely expanding mesophyllus grasslands called Phantas interrupt these various kinds of forests spread across the park.
